                                          My Hobby is Needlework     

Hello, my name is Katya and I am a student of the 9th grade. Today I want to talk about my interesting hobby.

During my grandmother`s times, many girls knew how to sew, to embroider and to knit, as these activities were considered very prestigious. Today, of course, other interesting hobbies have appeared, but nevertheless an article in the hand-made style is still highly valued for its uniqueness and originality. 

    
Needlework in our family is a traditional activity. My great-grandmother mastered perfectly the macrame technique, my grandmother embroidered beautifully, and my mom knits perfectly. 

Having such relatives, I simply could not remain indifferent, so crocheting and sewing became my hobby. My mom helped me to master this art. 

                                          
My hobby is a great pleasure for me, because the creative process has always been very exciting. In addition, I am pleased to think that my stuff may be useful for other people. I intend to further improve my skills to be able to create even more complex and interesting handiworks.
